After graduation from The College of Wooster in 1989, Dave gained trial experience immediately as a clerk for Wayne County Common Pleas Court. After Dave received his Juris Doctorate from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in the spring of 1992, he was admitted to the practice of law in the fall and began his career with the Firm.

Over the course of his career, Dave has refined his practice to focus on the areas of Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, and Criminal Defense, including Felony, Misdemeanor and DUI cases, and DUI cases, Family-based Immigration, and Probate law.  He has successfully handled hundreds of criminal cases in courts in Federal and state courts, from the municipal level to the Supreme Court of Ohio.  Dave has also successfully litigated a variety of family-based immigration matters from the US Immigration Court to the United States Supreme Court. 

Dave is a member of the Wayne County, Ohio State, and Federal Bar Associations, Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Ohio Association for Justice, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Dave spent eight years as an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy at the University of Akron School of Law, has been an Acting Judge in the Wayne County Municipal Court since 2008,  and was recognized as one of Ohio’s Ten Best Criminal Defense Attorneys for client satisfaction in 2017 by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys.

Outside of his practice, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife Andrea, their 5 children and grandchildren, and serving others when opportunities arise.  He has served on the Board of Directors for The College of Wooster “W” Association since 2001 (Serving as President from 2006 -2018), and as Public Address Announcer for The College of Wooster’s football and basketball programs since 1995.   He has also enjoyed serving in a variety of roles with NewPointe Community Church’s Wooster campus. 

Bryan Barnard

Bryan is a lifelong resident of Wooster and a third generation local attorney. After his graduation from Wooster High School in 1993, he attended Ashland University where he obtained a B.S.B.A in Finance in 1997. He worked for a time in the private banking sector, and then enrolled in the Claude W. Pettit College of Law at Ohio Northern University. He graduated with his Juris Doctor and was admitted to the practice of law in 2003. After law school he worked with his father, Ken Barnard, for a number of years. He later accepted a position with the Wayne County Public Defender’s Office where he gained extensive trial experience.

Bryan started with Kennedy, Cicconetti & Knowlton in 2011 and was named a shareholder in 2014. He is a member of the Wayne County, Ohio State, Federal Bar Associations, The Ohio Association for Justice and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Most recently, Bryan was honored by membership in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers. Bryan’s practice includes civil litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, criminal defense, and estate planning and administration. Bryan enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and two children, camping, and being outdoors.

Shaun was born in Wooster, Ohio and remained in the city until leaving to attend college. He graduated from Ohio University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Following graduation, he attended Penn State Dickinson Law School where he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 2023. During his time in law school, he revived the inactive Latinx Law Student Association, in which he went on to hold various leadership roles. He also was a member of his school’s Sports & Entertainment Law Society and Public Interest Law Fund. Throughout college and law school, he demonstrated his commitment to giving back to the community. He volunteered with such groups as the American Legion, Penn State Dickinson Law name change clinic, Project Share, and Athens Books to Prisoners.

While in law school, Shaun worked for a variety of organizations spanning across multiple practice areas. Some of the work Shaun performed in these roles included:

-Assisting clients with obtaining Violence Against Women’s Act (VAWA) and Victims of Crime (U-Visa) status

-Negotiating Protection From Abuse (PFA) orders on behalf of clients who were survivors of domestic violence

-Aiding indigent clients in public benefits and immigration applications and appeals

-Researching and presenting arguments to be used for Criminal Appeals

-Overseeing bout agreements, and sponsorship opportunities for Mixed Martial Artists

-Directly representing clients in Asylum/Adjustment interviews with USCIS

-Conducting intake interviews and submitting documentation for clients including I-589s (Petition for Asylum), I-130s (Petition for Alien Relative) and I-785s (Work Permits)


In 2024, Shaun returned to Wooster and joined KCKB Law following his admission to the Ohio Bar. He is a member of the Wayne County, Ohio State, and National Bar Associations. Outside of work, Shaun enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, watching documentaries, and playing card games.
